Yes, … but that doesn’t mean we always recommend a transfer.   We utilise Australian tax and UK financial advice specialists, as required, to act in your best interests.   Each jurisdiction has its own pros and cons which could cause a problem if say, you’re not 100% committed to remain in Australia. We’ll also need specialist UK financial advice when reviewing a defined benefit scheme.  As Dan is authorised in both the UK and Australia, he can be quick about setting your expectations to get the job done.
Dan can advise on alternative investment options until you become eligible to move your pension. In some cases, he can invest funds in AUD within a UK pension, but this is more complicated and requires more time and generally appropriate only for larger fund sizes.
We’ll need to sort out exactly what type of pension(s) you have. Some types of UK pensions are outdated and either can’t be moved at all or include certain benefits that can’t be moved to Australia. We’ll gather up the information you need to consider before making any big decisions.

This is no longer an option. Mind you, it could still form a secure and indexed part of your retirement income. As Dan understands this pension, we’ll look at how it fits alongside Australian products and available superannuation strategies.

If we are advising on private pensions, Dan can also establish your current UK state pension entitlement and discuss ways to improve any benefits, if possible, via UK regulated advice under Poppyblu (a trading style of JWA Financial Planning Ltd). Otherwise, with a bit of effort, it is possible for you to research it for yourself.
